Thyroid & Hashimoto's

Your labs say fine.
You don't feel fine.

If you're still exhausted, foggy, and gaining weight on thyroid medication — while being told your TSH is “normal” — there's usually more to the story. We look at the full thyroid picture and the gut, adrenal, and nutritional drivers behind it.

Thyroid & Hashimoto's

The short version: A “normal” TSH only tells part of the story. Many people with hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's still feel unwell because no one has looked at their free T3, reverse T3, antibodies, or the gut and nutritional factors driving their symptoms. We test the full picture and build a root-cause plan — working alongside your prescribing physician, without defaulting to a lifetime of medication as the only answer.

Thyroid & Hashimoto's — common questions

Why do I still feel bad on levothyroxine if my TSH is normal?

TSH is a single pituitary signal — it doesn't show how much active thyroid hormone (free T3) is reaching your cells, whether you're converting T4 to T3, or whether antibodies are attacking your thyroid. We test the full picture, which often explains why you feel unwell despite a “normal” TSH.

Can Hashimoto's be treated naturally?

Hashimoto's is autoimmune, so the goal is to calm the immune attack by addressing its drivers — gut health, food triggers, infections, nutrient deficiencies, and stress. Many patients reduce symptoms and, with their prescribing physician, revisit medication needs over time. We don't promise cures; we find and address root causes.

Do I have to stop my thyroid medication to work with you?

No. We never tell you to stop a prescription. We work alongside your prescribing physician, who may reassess your dose as your underlying drivers improve.

Is this an endocrinologist's office?

No. We're a functional-medicine practice offering a root-cause second opinion. Drs. John & Alexa Parker are chiropractic physicians with advanced functional-nutrition training — not endocrinologists.
